Government fails to stop galamsey which is affecting cocoa production -Alex Ntim
Mr. Alex Ntim has said that the government failed to stop galamsey in the country which is affecting the production of cocoa.
Cocoa is a good revenue source of income to the nation's pulse and contributes to the development of the country.
" If there is a chance, the nation should sack the government because this government stated clear that, with all effort and by all means, galamsey must stop". He said.
"The operation of illegal mining galamsey is destroying cocoa farms, cocoa land, roads, water bodies and pollution to the air", he stated.
He questions, "If the government fails the responsibility to stop galamsey we the citizens should suffer"?
He added that, if Ghanaians had given the power to the ruling government to work hard to remove the operation of this illegal mining and yet still our cocoa farmlands would be destroyed that's why the production of cocoa has reduced.
