Government should invest into Agriculture - Reverend John Manu.

Ashanti Regional Director for Agriculture, Reverend John Manu has appealed to the government to invest in Agriculture.

Farmers lack equipment, funds, and materials in farming activities in other to produce more food for society.

As a nation, food is the main source of living but when the agricultural sector becomes weak or left unconcerned, how can the farmers produce food.

Speaking at the conference of the Ashanti Regional Planning section, the Regional Department of Agricultural and Coalition Council and Council for Scientific Research said, "Money has become scars but there are some sectors like agriculture that the government can invest into, to help farmers produce food".

"The backbone of the nation is agricultural, in fact, I can emphasize that, if the government invests in Agriculture, unemployment will reduce because the youths can divert into Agriculture to produce more food rather than importing food from foreign countries", he explained.

Reverend John Manu added that the government should invest some funds in Agriculture to support the farmers.
