Registrar General warns companies not filing anual returns -Jemima Mamaa Oware.


The Registrar, Jemima Mamaa Oware of the Registrar General Department has warned companies not to file annual returns reports at the end of the year.


Many companies and businesses since 2011 have not filed their documents and their still operating with the old documents.


At the conference of the trade union, Mrs Jemima Mamaa said, that every year a registered company or business has to update the registrar for changes and relocation of their premises and also pay the necessary tax.


"Filing annual returns means, updating the information of the business. Resignation of managers, and directors and employing new manager, secretary, and director", she explained.


"Company inspectors will go around especially Greater Accra region next year,2024 to inspect companies' documents to make sure every company files annual returns at the end of the year", she stressed.


She continues that, every company must have a book comply to with the company's act, and woe unto any company who fails to this obligation, the law will prosecute and punish them.
