Ghana Meteorological Agency Releases 24-Hour Weather Forecast.

 The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has released a 24-hour weather forecast for the country, valid from 6 a.m. on January 10, 2024.


The forecast predicts mist or fog patches early this morning over a few areas along the coastal, mountainous, and forest areas. A sunny afternoon is anticipated over southern Ghana with chances of localized thunderstorms or rain over parts of the coastal and middle belts later this afternoon into the evening. The northern and transition belts, on the other hand, are expected to remain relatively dry, hot, and sunny under the slightly hazy condition of 5-9km visibility range.


City-Specific Forecast:


Accra: Mist in the morning with a temperature of 26°C. Sunny in the afternoon with a temperature of 32°C, with a 30% chance of thunderstorms or rain. Cloudy in the evening with a temperature of 26°C.


Kumasi: Mist in the morning with a temperature of 23°C. Sunny in the afternoon with a temperature of 35°C. Thunderstorms or rain in the evening with a temperature of 26°C.


Tamale: Dry and hazy in the morning with a temperature of 19°C. Hot, dry, and hazy in the afternoon with a temperature of 39°C. 

Dry and hazy in the evening with a temperature of 28°C.

Sea State: The state of the sea is rough (2).


Overall, the forecast suggests that most parts of Ghana will experience dry and sunny weather during the day, with a chance of thunderstorms or rain in some areas.
