Asamankese Area Women Empowered at Post Abidedoes Conference.

The Women's Ministry of the Church of Pentecost in the Asamankese Area, led by Area Leader Dns. Victoria Kusi, recently held a Post Abidedoes Conference, a skills training program designed for women in the area.

The conference took place at the James Mckeown Memorial Temple in Asamankese and brought together women's ministries from all districts within the area. The goal was to equip both church members and non-members with practical skills that would allow them to find small jobs, improve their livelihoods, and resist worldly temptations, ultimately strengthening their Christian faith.

Participants learned skills in various areas, including bridal fan making, brown sugar production, omo (cleaning agent) production, fascinator crafting, fresh yogurt preparation, polo (a local dish) making, and liquid soap production.

According to Mrs. Mary Aidoo, the Area Head Wife, the conference addressed a critical need. Many women, even university graduates, struggle to find employment. The Post Abidedoes Conference offered them a path to financial independence and the ability to contribute to church offerings.

"These skills will help people to get money into their pockets and some for offering," said Dns. Philomina Adjei, Assistant Area Women's Ministry Leader.

Participants from other districts shared how the conference would benefit them and expressed their intention to share the acquired knowledge with those who couldn't attend.

The event was graced by the presence of Aps. Emmanuel Kojo Aidoo, the Area Head, Mrs. Mary Aidoo, Dns. Philomina Adjei, Dns. Pricilla Ofosu (Area Women's Ministry Secretary), pastors' wives from the area, and other Area Women's Ministry executives.
