Akufo-Addo Urges Public Entities to Embrace Digitalization_

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on governing boards and chief executives of public entities to prioritize digitalization, leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and citizen engagement.

Speaking at the 11th Annual Conference of Chairpersons of Governing Boards/Councils, Chief Directors, and Chief Executives, the President emphasized the need for a digital transformation in the public sector to achieve high efficiency.

He appealed to chairs of governing boards and CEOs to initiate actions to digitalize their operations, highlighting the success of his administration's digitalization drive led by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The President described his government as a "digitalization government" and praised Dr. Bawumia's efforts, including the development of a performance tracker that allows citizens to monitor government projects without relying on presidential addresses.

The President emphasized that digitalization will ensure transparency and accountability, stating, "Never again will pictures of artistic impressions of projects be presented as projects completed." This call to action aims to reposition Ghana's public sector for a digital age, enhancing service delivery and citizen engagement.
