ECOWAS Donates Assorted Items to Dzorwulu Special School


 The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has donated assorted items to the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra, Ghana, as part of its 49th anniversary celebrations. The items, including foodstuffs, toiletries, and educational materials, are aimed at supporting the school's efforts in catering to the needs of children with special needs.

The Resident Representative of ECOWAS in Ghana, Ambassador Baba Gana Wakil, led the delegation to present the items, emphasizing the importance of supporting vulnerable members of society. He noted that children with special needs are citizens of ECOWAS and deserve attention and support to achieve their goals.


The headmaster of the school, Frederick Tetteh, expressed gratitude for the donation, which will be used to support the school's efforts in feeding and educating the children. He also called on benevolent individuals and institutions to emulate ECOWAS's example of supporting vulnerable children.


The donation is part of ECOWAS' social inclusion agenda, which prioritizes the welfare of all citizens, regardless of their peculiarities. The gesture has been replicated in all ECOWAS member states, demonstrating the bloc's commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.
