Farmers at Adidome Praise Government's PFJ Phase-Two Programme_

Crop farmers in Adidome, Central Tongu District, Volta Region, have commended the government for introducing the second phase of the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) programme.

This initiative aims to support farmers nationwide by providing essential agricultural inputs like fertilizers, boosting self-sufficiency in selected food commodities, and modernizing agriculture.

According to Mr. Thomas Moore Zonyrah, District Chief Executive, the programme seeks to revamp agriculture in the district and beyond. It will also welcome new entrants, allowing more farmers to participate and receive government support, thereby enhancing agriculture productivity and sustainability.

Mr. Zonyrah assured farmers that the Agriculture Department will enroll all eligible participants in the programme and encouraged them to remain dedicated to their work. The farmers expressed gratitude for the government's support, which they believe will significantly improve their yields and livelihoods.

The PFJ phase-two programme is expected to have a positive impact on the agriculture sector, promoting food security, job creation, and economic growth.
