Hamas Launches Rockets Towards Tel Aviv for First Time in Four Months
In a sudden escalation, Hamas launched at least eight rockets towards the Tel Aviv area in central Israel marking the first such attack in nearly four months. The missiles were fired from the Rafah area in southern Gaza, with several intercepted by the Israeli military.
The Israeli army is currently conducting a military operation in Rafah, but no injuries have been reported. Rocket sirens sounded in other cities and towns, including Herzliya and Petah Tikva, as a precautionary measure.
This incident marks a significant escalation in tensions between Israel and Hamas, and raises concerns about the potential for further violence in the region. The international community is closely monitoring the situation and urging both sides to exercise restraint and work towards a peaceful resolution.
