Traffic Alert: Cantonments Road to Experience Month-Long Disruption

The Department of Urban Roads, under the Ministry of Roads and Highways, has announced a month-long traffic disruption on Cantonments Road, starting Sunday, May 26, and ending Monday, July 29, 2024. The affected area spans from the Police Station to Danquah Circle.

The disruption is due to essential drainage and traffic management works, undertaken in collaboration with International Hospitals Group Ltd (IHG) and the Ministry of the Interior. The project aims to enhance the drainage system and improve pedestrian safety in front of the Police Hospital.

Motorists and road users are advised to be aware of the traffic management signs installed to guide them through the area. Additionally, officers from the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) will be stationed at strategic points to assist with traffic flow and minimize disruptions.

Please plan your route accordingly and allow extra time for your journey. The Department of Urban Roads appreciates your cooperation and understanding as they work to improve the road infrastructure.
