La General Hospital Reconstruction Project Reaches 20% Completion Milestone
The La General Hospital reconstruction project has made significant progress, with the contractor announcing that 20% of the work has been completed. The project is on track for commissioning in 22 months, according to the contractor's latest update.

Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, visited the project site on Thursday, June 13, 2024, to assess the progress and was briefed by the contractor on the status of the work. The hospital's redevelopment, which began in January 2024, has a total project duration of 28 months.

The contractor has received an advance mobilization payment of 15%, amounting to approximately $7.5 million, to facilitate the project's progress. Once completed, the modernized hospital will boast state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities, positioning it as a fully functional and modern healthcare facility.
