DR. BAWUMIA PROMISES TO EMPOWER YOUTH FOR DIGITAL ECONOMY IN 2024 ELECTION


Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pledged to empower young people for the digital economy to address unemployment in Ghana. He announced plans to continue the country's digitalization agenda, train one million youth in digital skills, and enhance internet connectivity nationwide.


Addressing a rally in Wa, Upper West Region, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of education and digitalization in building a literate society and creating jobs for the youth. He highlighted the NPP government's commitment to education, citing the Free Senior High School policy and the restoration of teacher trainee and nursing training allowances.


Dr. Bawumia also promised to abolish taxes on mobile phones to ensure access to smartphones for every Ghanaian youth, a prerequisite for maximizing the digital economy. He urged the electorate to vote for him on December 7, 2024, to bring his plans to fruition and improve living conditions for Ghanaians.


Hajia Humu Awudu, NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Wa Central Constituency, also appealed to the youth to vote for her and Dr. Bawumia, promising jobs and a better future.
