Ghana Armed Forces Clarifies Military Recruitment Disqualifications

ACCRA – The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has issued a clarification regarding its recruitment process, stating that individuals with certain physical attributes and body modifications will be disqualified. The announcement was made by Captain Veronica Adzo Arhin of the Ghana Navy, who is also the Acting Director General for Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces.


According to Captain Arhin, the disqualifying conditions include tattoos, double piercings, bowed legs, and flat feet. These criteria are part of the GAF's strict physical and medical standards for enlistment, which are designed to ensure that all personnel are fit for the rigorous demands of military service.

The announcement comes as part of an ongoing effort to inform the public about the requirements for joining the military and to manage expectations of potential recruits. The GAF urges all interested applicants to carefully review all eligibility criteria before applying.
