PCG Victory Congregation Examines “True Leadership” from Jeremiah 23

Adjeiman, Ga West Municipal, November 23, 2025 – The Victory Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Adjeiman Amasaman District, held a transformative service this Sunday focusing on the critical theme of "True Leadership."

Preaching from Jeremiah Chapter 23, Senior Presbyter, Mr. James Amoah drew a sharp biblical contrast between false, self-serving leadership and genuine, God-ordained service.

Mr. Amoah highlighted the prophet Jeremiah’s condemnation of "bad shepherds" who scattered the flock through neglect and self-interest (Jeremiah 23:1-2), stressing that leaders who prioritize personal gain over their people will face divine accountability.

Conversely, the message emphasized that True Leadership, as promised by God, is characterized by gathering, nourishment, and vigilant care (Jeremiah 23:3-4). The sermon ultimately pointed to Jesus Christ as the singular, perfect leader—the "Righteous Branch" (Jeremiah 23:5-6)—whose reign is marked by perfect justice and righteousness.

Congregants were challenged to align their roles in their families, churches, and communities with the selfless, just, and upright standard demonstrated by Christ, the ultimate Good Shepherd.
