KASOA MP, POLICE VISIT FAMILY OF 28-YEAR-OLD STAGED SUICIDE VICTIM; VOW JUSTICE FOR ALLEGED GANG RAPE
The visit follows the traumatic discovery of the young woman’s body on her family compound, found kneeling beneath a mango tree with a rope tied around her neck to a low, frail branch.
While initial appearances suggested a suicide, preliminary investigations by the Central East Regional Police Command indicate that Bosso was likely gang-raped to death elsewhere before her attackers transported her body to the compound and staged the scene to simulate hanging.
Expressing her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved relatives, Hon. Okunnor noted how deeply tragic it is for a family already grieving to endure such a horrific and painful loss under these circumstances.
She urged the family and community members to remain calm and maintain confidence in the Ghana Police Service as homicide detectives work to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Police authorities have assured the public that a full-scale investigation is underway, and further updates will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
