NDC Had Almost Eliminated Schools Under Trees Before Akufo-Addo Took Over - Apaak_

Dr. Clement Apaak, the Member of Parliament for Builsa South, has criticized the Akufo-Addo administration for allowing schools to operate under trees, stating that the previous Mahama administration had practically eliminated this issue.

According to Dr. Apaak, there are currently 5,000 schools operating under trees in Ghana, a problem that he claims the NDC had largely solved before Akufo-Addo took office. He made this statement on TV3's news program, saying, "NDC had practically eliminated schools under trees before Akufo-Addo took over."

Dr. Apaak also highlighted the issue of furniture deficits in basic schools, which he claims has resulted in over 1 million pupils sitting on the floor to learn. He promised that his flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, would address this issue, stating, "He will address the issue of furniture shortage. As we speak now, we have a furniture deficit of over one million."

The ranking member of the parliament's committee on education emphasized the need for urgent action to address these issues and ensure quality education for all Ghanaian children.
